Tree Ornament Cross Stitch

How do I make a cross stitch ornament really stiff?
I’ve made an ornament for the tree but I don’t want it to be soft and fluffy (stuffed with cotton). I want to be able to cut around the design as close as possible. I know that when I was younger I made a magnet that was really stiff but that was 15 years ago and I can’t remember what my teacher used. Any suggestions please…

If you go to your local craft/sewing store, look in the sewing department for a product call “Stiffen Stuff” or something along that line…….it’s made for what your needing. It comes in a spray bottle & dries very quickly. If you can’t find it, ask, they’ll know exactly what your looking for.
